Lorena and I have been talking about how important it is to follow Christ. We have one God, Father, Master and we are not to be called that. It makes me wonder what offices in the church are official. When it talks about apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, is it talking about official positions specific people are to fill in the church with specific tasks or is it talking about abilities and inclinations. One thing that seems more clear all the time is that assuming one of those titles on one’s own authority and assigning authority to one’s self might be a dangerous game to play.
